Ms. Szlatenyi is a Partner and Director of Bentley Consulting Group, LLC. She concentrates in the areas of business valuation, litigation support, cost segregation studies and R&D tax credit studies. Her business valuation experience includes valuations of closely held businesses within the automobile dealership, manufacturing, fabrication, retail and real estate industries. Her cost segregation experience includes studies performed for manufacturing, fabrication, residential real estate, high-rise apartment complex, office, educational and retail facilities.
Business valuation and litigation support services include family law, mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift tax planning, buy and sell agreements, and shareholder disputes. Ms. Szlatenyi has served in a leadership role in the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) since 2010 through her appointment to the AICPA's National Business Valuation (BV) Committee. The BV Committee serves the membership of the AICPA in helping to identify, create, and maintain high quality educational offerings to provide credential and non-credential holders with timely and leading edge technical guidance. Leah is one of only twelve valuation experts across the country serving as a member of the Committee. Her appointment affords her the opportunity to represent all CPAs and business valuation practitioners located in the New England and Mid-Atlantic states. Leah also serves on the Business Valuation Committee for the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Leah is a local and national speaker on business valuation, transition/succession planning, and cost segregation studies. She has been the guest speaker for The Association of Language Companies 2007 Annual Conference, and taught certified public education (CPE) sessions on business valuation and cost segregation studies for the Alliott Group North American 2010 Conference in Chicago, Illinois, and the 2011 New England Graduate Accounting Studies Conference, Inc. in West Hartford, Connecticut. Leah is a regular guest on NBC affiliate television station, WJAR10, and for Bryant University's Masters of Taxation Program.
Ms. Szlatenyi received an undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Bryant University; a Masters of Science in Personal Financial Planning, high distinction, from Bentley College; and a Masters of Science in Taxation degree from Bryant University. Leah is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island and an active volunteer for The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island. She is a former Treasurer of Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island, a former Finance Committee member of Leadership Rhode Island, and a former trustee for the Town of East Greenwich Municipal Land Trust.
Leah is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, The National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Business Valuation Committee of the AICPA as well as the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants.

John is the Managing Partner of Bentley Consulting Group, LLC and has over 30 years of experience concentrating in taxation and business advisory services for closely held companies and high net worth individuals. Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he has specialized in business valuations and litigation support services for the past twenty-five years.
John has also been an adjunct lecturer at Brown University and Bryant University and has been a guest speaker/presenter for both the Rhode Island and American Bar Associations. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island with a concentration in accounting as well as a Masters of Science in Taxation degree from Bryant University.
John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Business Appraisers. He has been active on numerous boards and is presently a member of the University of Rhode Island College of Business Administration's Advisory Council, a Trustee for the University of Rhode Island Foundation, a member of the AICPA Forensic Litigation Services Committee, Board member for the New Leaders Project, past Board member for the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, past Chair of the organization's Business Valuation Committee and a past Vice Chairman for the Town of South Kingstown Economic Development Committee.

He has served on numerous AICPA committees including the Managing an Accounting Practice (MAP) Committee, the Small Firm Advocacy Committee and currently serves on the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) Executive Committee. He was also a member of the prestigious Group of 100 Strategic Planning Committee, a member of the AICPA Governing Council and the Practitioner’s Symposium Steering Committee and a Practice Management Panel Member for The Journal of Accountancy.
Bill is a past President of the Rhode Island Society of CPA’s with over 10 years in various board and committee level positions. Bill is a local and national speaker on trends in accounting and firm management, with writing credits including the “Strategic Practice Alliances” chapter in the MAP Handbook, “Consolidation and the Small Firm” and “Closing Your Door to Bad Clients” both published in the Practicing CPA. Bill was also on the editorial committee and DVD participant for “Securing the Future, Building a Succession Plan for Your Firm”, written by Bill Reeb.

Bill is Marketing Consultant for Bentley Consulting Group with 30+ years experience in strategic planning and marketing. As agency principal for a leading High-Tech Marketing Communications and Public Relations agency he helped launch dozens of companies and products.
Bill was also Vice President of Marketing for a $40 million computer-based process control systems manufacturer and has managed independent and distributor sales forces. He has served as Marketing Communications Manager for a Fortune 100 specialty and consumer products company. Author of numerous articles and seminars on marketing, positioning and communications, Bill is a regular business commentator on a regional NBC television affiliate.
